WHO ARE WE?
THE PARA PM, AN INNOVATIVE SYSTEM DEVELOPED BY THE FOUNDERS OF AEROPHILE
Founded in 1993 by Jérôme GIACOMONI and Matthieu GOBBI, polytechnicians and engineers of the Ponts, AEROPHILE designs, manufactures, sells and/or operates large tethered balloons and Aerobars throughout the world.
Since 2013, the GENERALI balloon installed by AEROPHILE in the André Citroën Park in Paris has become, in partnership with the CNRS, a real flying laboratory to measure and reduce particulate matter levels in real time. As soon as the balloon was installed, the two engineers noticed that the white envelope of the balloon was collecting particulate matter of soot and carbon.
After several years of research and experiments to find a way to use this phenomenon to capture pollution, they developed the Para-PM, a device that ionizes the ambient air to suck in and trap the surrounding particulate matter.
